Resurrection in His Season and His Time!

"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" - Matthew 27:46

It was the previous night, the day before crucifixion that Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, who came to save humanity, prayed to our heavenly Father in the place called Gethsemane after the last supper.

Matthew 26: 38 -39 describes it as follows: "Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."

Why even after praying in Gethsemane, our God, Jesus Christ suffered until death...? The trail of sufferings right from the palace of Pontius Pilate, crowning, the route to Calvery, arrogance from the soldiers, and finally the cross. Our God who came to save world from the sins was neither born in a palace, nor died in an amicable way. He died in the cross, and cross was the symbol of sheer disgrace those days.

Is there any reason, for which he suffered so badly, until death?

Is there a reason that he had to suffer so badly?

Now the question is to each one of us. Many a times in our life, we feel that even God has forsaken us. And many a times we had complained to God that why everything goes wrong ?

The answer for these agonies is just another question.

Do you believe in Resurrection?

A resurrection after all the crucifixions... When Jesus Christ, our God was crucified it was for a reason. And the reason was nothing but to save humanity from the fear of hell. Eventually the reason was revealed through his resurrection and ascension to heaven after serving His purpose on earth.

Is there a resurrection in our lives too?

God's wisdom stand far ahead of ours. As Ecclessiastes 3:1 says: "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

When is this season? Why there is a time for every purpose? The reason is there in the following verse of the same chapter. Ecclessiastes 3:11 says "He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end."

It is true that when things don’t happen in the way that you think, you become depressed. You may feel your GOD has forsaken you. You might face situations where you don’t find enough care from your parents, love from your partner, care from your siblings, not getting the required recognition at your work place, your finances going wrong, and everything that you thought that are there with you, or that belongs to you, or that will happen might not turn the way you want.

Be patient... Wait for His season. Wait for His time. Forget the world. Focus on God... Let almighty be your light as He is the source of infinite wisdom. And don’t forget this word of God, in Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

On your life's journey let Faith be nourishment, virtuous deeds be a shelter, wisdom be the light by day and right mindfulness be the protection by night... Be faithful to GOD and believe in Him, continue being generous, pray continuously for Infinite Wisdom, be patient with a right and true mind.

And it is worthy being patient, it is worthy praying continuously, it is worthy being faithful and to believe in GOD for you are ‘Waiting for a Resurrection in His Season, In His Time.”

In this month of June, let us pray to St. Anthony

“St. Anthony, God has helped me abundantly through your prayer and has strengthened me in my need. I thank God and I thank you. Accept this prayer and my serious resolve which I now renew, to live always in the love of Jesus and of my neighbour. Continue to shield me by your protection and pray to God for the final grace of one day entering the kingdom of heaven to sing with you the everlasting mercies of God. Amen.”
